TRACKER (movement study of one)
Proposal: TRACKER (movement study of one) is a live-art performance piece that explores the notions of physicality, gym culture, privacy, and desire. Positioned on a treadmill in an open public space, the artist will be in motion for six hours daily, subjected to unsolicited voyeurism. Her body’s movement will be converted to audio output, based on the speed at which it is moving. The audio will play in real time, be recorded, looped, and finally played again as a complete and final score. This performance tests physical limitations and endurance – leaving the final composition up to chance.
